"I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me." i found this one especially interesting since i have several times taken the words of a teaching i agree with and repeated it. this verse was a bit frightening on that front. but this is a webpage that has a list of 3,4,5ish verses, in several categories,of what the Bible has to say about false prophets and how to spot them. some of what the Bible says on the subject applies to people i would not have considered a false prophet but when you put all the verses together its revealing. the site does not suggest anyone in particular being a false prophet, it just gives a good lens of scripture to look though if you have someone in mind and wonder how to tell. www.acts17-11.com/fprophecy.html

it's interesting cuz when God is moving everyone is like OMG.... "I heard that too".... and it's not like stealing but conformation. ON THE OTHER HAND, LOL..... i recently found a woman on the web that took verbatim passages from the book "Strongman's his name what's his game?" by the Robesons.... and gave no credit. It was scary in the posts below it people lauding her AND SHE TOOK IT ALL IN FOR HERSELF. I was so 'hot' about it that i posted the truth and where to find it in the book--- and wouldn't you know....she removed my comment and left it all there WITH NO SHAME.
We know that if we give a cup of water to a prophet we will receive reward.... well that is the kind of system God sets up in that when we honor who He uses, we are blessed etc (if you do to the least of these)..... so when we don't even hear what God is saying corporately and raid it all cuz it sounds good and give no honor...we are actually dishonoring God..... and THAT is the frightening thing.
we all have facets tho.... so even if i've heard something and then see something.... no harm in rewording because we will make sense to diff. people groups.... but if we'd not rather reinvent the wheel & someone else has nailed it, giving them credit is only blessing us!!!! why would anyone want to forfeit that??? because they don't receive the 'blessing' by laud and honor for doing the rt thing? well, pride, jealousy etc..... but isn't it silly???
u know i've really been hearing lately about the importance of being a servant.... and that, i believe will fill our coffers full upstairs. let's keep laying up that treasure and honor whoever He uses knowing His promises are Ours!

tru dat HG. 2 things hit me in that verse really hard though is why i mentioned it specifically. was really trying to seek on the 'perry' dream and what am i going to do there, what am i supposed to do…. and so i watched some of him a listened and read his website and people arguments (cuz no matter who it is someone online calls them a false prophet so there are listed reasons to do so for every pastor or prophet to ever be on tv). i was weighing it all and clocks ticking and the thought won't go away that if that is what I'm supposed to do then i had better do it when he delivered to my back yard (for the minute price of like 10k up front no refunds roughly). so I'm digging in and need an answer before the time next month and i found this and read it. when i got to that verse i saw the eco-chamber of prophecy teachers, bunches of em flashed by and how they all spoke the same ideas and most got these ideas from the same sources, books, seminary, Bible school……. and many of these people have had real revelation and also repeat what they were taught mindlessly. they do both!!! then it hit me like a ton of bricks as a word for me specifically of DONT DO THAT. cuz I've had real revelation and I've spoken mindlessly repeating without understanding. but id never noticed it really until just then. good news is He is refining me into something useful:) but it was frightening to think how easy someone could get down that road and not even know your messing up.
