Rick's mother, his sister and a woman that played piano at church while Topper & Rick ministered together all passed away recently & Rick admitted that he's using alcohol because he is lonely.

While we differ with the doctrines of the Coptic Christians, they DO confess Christ... even to the point of shedding their blood rather than renounce Jesus. I saw the video of these 21 martyrs bound and could see their lips praying to Jesus to the very end. Let's not neglect to pray for our brethren in the East. They are being slaughtered in far greater numbers than what is being reported.
I also saw a video of Coptic Christians crying .. with tears "Lord, you are all we have." Heartbreaking.

Thanks for your prayers for Ingrid. Last Sunday was her best day but she is still fighting the encephalitis infection and most days are not good. Her treatment is being extended.

My mom (Mary) called me tonight asking for prayer. She never asks for prayer for herself so this is very unusual. I could hear some desperation in her voice. She's 88 and loves the Lord SO much. She lost an eye to cancer several years ago. A few years ago her "good" eye began leaking fluid (which would leave her blind). She received a series of injections and so far they have held back any more leaking.
Lately she has been having increased problems seeing with that eye. It sounds like the 'Macular Degeneration' that she was also diagnosed with a few years ago. (gradual loss of vision)
She has an appointment scheduled with the specialist. She's professing faith ... but I know she's also very afraid but trying not to show it.
I'm praying that the Lord would hold back any leaking .. and HOLD BACK all further Degeneration for the rest of her life. ... and ALSO that He would calm her mind and spirit with His PEACE.
I told her that I would ask some friends to pray too.
She said "Oh, I would be so grateful to them."
Please be praying and agreeing with us. Much appreciated.

i hava head cold....think i got worn out from caring for everybody else that got sick recently... hubby & then youngest got the flu twice... 2 diff. types back to back. really cold & everyone cooped up doesn't help.

Ingrid update. Despite consultants twice preparing us for her death she is much better. This Sunday she seemed much more lucid. On Monday she had her meds stopped. Tuesday evening she was moved to a rehab hospital. Prayers are requested that she will surpass functional levels mentally and physically and be able to return home.
