k...got on kids computer...sorry if pictures not great...i hadda snapshot them...just no time to learn how to use their stuff... for this "<-----" noted on the picture.....we will be using straw for some of the insulation! a 6" leaf gives a R19+ rating & we have access to $2 bales of it. we are currently using scrap barn tin to enclose it into the wall...when we run out we have a contact at a scrap yard to buy more for cheap. we need this especially for our rabbit area because we can't use wood on the walls because of poo/pee splashing on them & why put wood paneling up & then an extra step of something like shower stall plastic over that, when we can just use the already painted/coated tin? seemed to be our best option. you can see we got some pallets... we decided to use them as a kind of floor for this outdoor area that we will eventually turn into a lean=to. this area will eventually house our hay for the animals. pallets will keep the stuff from touching the ground/moisture and will save us money from having to buy stone to fill in this area. we haven't even gotten all our pallets that we have access to for free...and those will be stacked in a area that slopes down a hill so not so visible from the rd. it is a pile at least as high and as long as the barn...if not more. so...thought i'd share...gotta getter done!
