One of the ministries we support is i2 Ministries. They focus on bringing the gospel to Muslim countries and are seeing waves of Muslims coming to Christ due to the refugee crisis. God truely uses all things for His glory. Below is their report from Mexico City in their June 2016 newsletter.
REPORT FROM MEXICO CITY
In Mexico City, Joshua Lingel preached at a conference with 500 educators from different denominations calling them to preach the gospel. Joshua also met with a main leader in the Assembly of God Church in Mexico City who has been going undercover to a certain business group meeting that has been converting Mexicans to Islam. This group has grown from 15 to 400 new Mexican converts to Islam. The week Joshua was there, eight Christians in the group became Muslims. There is an Afghanistan Muslim oil business man funding missionaries who are working in 15 regions of Mexico. They have 100,000 Qur'ans in Spanish in a warehouse in the city. Muslims are building mosques in Mexico City and aligning themselves in a friendly way with the Mexican government. Also, in the jungles of Chiapas, Muslims are active trying to convert the locals. However, key leaders in the Mexican Church are identifying this challenge and responding by asking i2 for training. We are excited to start setting up congresses in Mexico to begin training and mobilizing the Mexican Church to resist Islam among Christians and reach these Muslims.It is believed that there are currently 110,000 Muslims in Mexico.
This week, the Washington Times reported Afghani terrorists were caught in a smuggling network underground through Mexico into the USA. We can evangelize them in Afghanistan, Mexico and the USA!
