Usually I am able to know the interpretation of a my dreams, but I'm not sure about this one:
I saw a chair move on its own (in a room in my house which I usually spend time with God in) and had the thought 'did I just do that supernaturally?' So, to check I stood in front of the chair and commanded it to move and it did. In the dream I wasn't sure how to feel about that happening and I think I may have been wondering whether it was something evil that made it move - which frightened me. I walked downstairs with a drink in my hand not knowing what to make of it all and found myself throwing the drink all over the room. After I did that, I though 'why did I do that, what a mess I've created'. A very strange / eerie dream. I have had similar dreams to this in the recent past and not known what it was all about.
Any ideas?

well this reminds me of a dream i had years ago in a few ways, id like to ask you what the background looked like? was it normal looking kina plain nothing standing out? or was it dark, muted, gray, scary looking? or was it bright and brilliant? also what words did you say when you commanded the chair? and what was the drink? what did the kitchen look like?

Everything seemed normal - it wasn't at all like nightmares I've had in the past (dark, etc.), so I wasn't sure what it was that was scaring me. I very firmly said 'move!'. If I'd said 'in the name of Jesus, move', perhaps I would have felt better about it - I'm not sure.I'm not sure what the drink was, but don't think that it was just water, because I was concerned that I had made a mess.
I have been thinking / praying about what is (signs and wonders, etc.) and isn't from God recently - Bethel church / some of the events stemming from Toronto 'times of refreshing' and the whole feathers / gold dust, etc. phenomenon. I wonder whether the dream means anything at all or is just my thoughts / uncertainties being expressed through my dreams???

im thinking if it was normal like that, then im thinking that you may be seeing something you need to see. so like an invisible thing in a chair and you controlling it is representing something. otherwise it wouldnt scare you and it wouldnt stand out so strong that you had to share it and write it and ask for help with it. i have no clue what the chair is but if thats where you spend time with God then it probably is representative of you relationship with God or something like that. a spirit that moves an object and you can tell it what to do is something that happens pretty deep into witchcraft. (not that your into that just representing it). so i would say the message is something to the tune of: you trying to control something in your relationship with God. (control is a form of witchcraft.) but you are not behind it there is something demonic doing the controlling. and its making a huge mess.
so it seems like a warning to stop trying to control things before you make a huge mess. cuz youll see yourself doing it but wont be able to stop yourself. so pray about that and see if it rings true and God will show you what to do. God bless you and have an awesome day:)

Thanks for your response. At the moment, it doesn't ring any bells. But, I will certainly pray about it. I can see the potential for any Christian to want to believe that God is behind something, when really it is our own desires (and Satan can easily step in to push it along instead). I have been thinking about the possibility of Satan being behind supernatural things which Christians can sometimes attribute to God a lot though recently and I still wonder whether that has something to do with it.
I will post on here if I get any revelations.

good deal. yeah and you know thats so possible too, that it could be an answer to something that you were concerned about like that. i have no clue about wats going on in your life, or what that may be in response to or whatever. but the undlying stuff is probably that same. control, and demons doing things sneakily making someone think its God and making a mess of everything. could be telling thats going on elsewhere or warning of being unaware of something in your own life, that part youll have to discern. but an answered prayer of 'whats going on' is always a possibility. bless ya, happy searching:)

I think I've got it!! A light bulb went on today. I know this may sound really nuts, but I am the chair! I have had dreams before (not many) when I have been watching myself through someone else's eyes – they are usually quite unpleasant dreams, but it does usually give me a better understanding of the situation and I pray more efficiently for the other party that way too.
I am in the middle of a big legal battle involving some awful abuses in an organisation. I have left the organisation, but the abuse has continued with other staff. It became a very controlling environment to work in due to abuse of positions in authority. I have felt just like the chair as the organisation is so very powerful (from an earthly perspective of course) and the law firm who they are being represented by also do not appear to be against using their power in an unethical way. Of course, demons are nearly always involved in this.
Why a chair? I think this is because it represents material / the world. So, they may appear to have this power in the physical, but it an illusion. I think that the mess has actually been created by them as they could have solved the issues when staff first started complaining. Instead, it has become a big mess for them and they could now be exposed for many of their unethical practices which would have otherwise remained under cover.
Does that make any sense?

yeah the lawsuit is likely the big thing the dream is an answer about. and that could be but it leaves one question unanswered to me. if your the chair, who commanded the chair to move? and whats that mean?

The organisation and their solicitors (probably with supernatural help from demons - usually the case if they do not have God as their authority) commanded the chair to move I believe. Sometimes God sends me these dreams as an encouragement or to prepare me and they often come to pass. These dreams often tell the whole story too (past, present and future), because often we can only see part of the picture - which can be quite scary. Time will tell I guess.

Hmmm, I have always associated chairs with "thrones". I don't think you are the chair. I think God is telling you that you have authority over the thrones who are influencing the situation in the spiritual that is manifesting in the natural (at your work). I learned the hard way that the way to combat this is thorugh prayer, specifically praying God's word over the situation. The drink, was it hot or cold? Jesus talks about us being hot or cold. I learned after much time that if I have a white coffee cup with hot liquid (usually water), I am hot. I carry the cup because I serve him. I have also had a glass of cold water (refreshing) to serve him. Once it was lemonade! (Fruit of the spirit used in a refreshing way) in his service!. I think you threw the cup in your dream because you didn't understand and you were frustrated. I know this is a late response. I hope it helps. sg

Interesting interpretation SG. I like your ideas on symbolic meaning of the chair and cup (I think that the drink was hot?). I agree that prayer is extremely important in these situations – as is obedience to God (even if we do not always understand).
