I just finished reading a book titles Spiritual Warfare by Dr. Karl Payne. In one chapter he states that a true believer in Jesus Christ can choose to let a habitual sin remain in their life and will still be saved and when they die because of 1Corinthians 3:15 they will still be allowed into heaven.
I have heard that Derek Prince say almost the same thing. Is this even Biblical?

not familiar w/ payne book. we aren't perfect & our whole life is walking out conforming to Christ Jesus... no one gets out w/ a clean slate, except by the blood. there are sins we know not to even appropriate that can be habitual... easy as flipping on the TV set & continuing to watch a program every week that isn't so pleasing to Him. we may feel the Holy Spirit nagging but not understand the program is not the excellent living He's calling us to. we may suffer affliction/oppression because of that open door & generally people let a ton of open door afflictions accumulate before they either reject God or decide, 'hey, this isn't abundant life...what's going on here?'...and then dig into self examination & then it becomes clear. watching babies is a good parallel. i remember my middle son as a toddler getting into the fridge 2 days in a row and dumping all the eggs on the floor. he didn't know he was hurting me, as it took a full half hour on my hands and knees to clean up the mess each time. he knew mom wasn't pleased & you can't whack a baby, LOL... i had to resolve to duct tape the top of the door shut a couple weeks to correct the problem that he couldn't understand. older kids beyond 'milk', would 'get it' & would receive the 'whack', if they pulled a stunt like that! ...but there are bigger issue things that can't go on and on...they are in no wise subtle. if He says "don't do this", or in doing such "these shall not enter heaven", then we have to believe what the Word says. i'm sure payne/prince are meaning the prior & not this sort of stuff: peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/40SinsThatWillSendYouToHell.htmlit's a touchy area...we don't wanna play good cop/bad cop w/ degrees of sin & such but if we know the biggies and read the Word, praise & worship Him, often self examine, seek to be used in our giftings... not compare ourselves to others, but hang onto the Word... He will use us, deliver us & we will b vessels He can accomplish His work through. active faith!

I will post Paynes quote from his book later today.
He states When a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ chooses to hide, ignore, or run from sin that has opened ground to demonic spirits, he may suffer ongoing mental.emotional, and sometimes even physical torment. This is true regardless of the persons position in Christ, even though the believer is still heaven bound according to 1 Corinthians 3:15
