i got the brick bible (old & new testaments) for the family for Christmas. it is fun so far. some people have a fit about some of the choices in illustrating, stating stuff s too graphic for kids.... but if you are reading the text... the mental picture garnered is worse. i don't have a prob. w/ it --don't shelter my kids from ugly stuff to come in book of revelation etc. some of the depictions are really lighthearted/funny.... for example: when Jesus is led out into the desert... satan is portrayed by a dracula figurine. the dove that appears when john the baptist, baptizes Jesus is actually a white parrot.... it's cute. so thought i'd share... would be especially good for getting a teenager motivated in reading the Word...and for group interaction in talking about the Word.

Ha! That looks awesome! Too bad I didn't know about it when I was in the market for a new Bible. I ended up going with The Action Bible. We like it fine.
