A community is one that sups and shares and grows together... where fruit is tested and proven and all that good stuff--- not fly by night 'dump-offs' w/ no ability to test. I'm really not one to run people, people groups, or denominations down because I have been in and around cults before, and good also-blinded people, are mixed right in with the tares. I never want to throw the baby out with the bath water, or shut any door to witness because I've 'damned this, that or so-and-so to hell', LOL. In my series of sharing about a cult experience I never even shared any cult names because it was no point to indeed point people to 'bad stuff', as I had already went to cult members --those whom I supped with, and was rejected.
So in the context of this community, I do want to touch on such an 'unpleasantry' of a specific ministry that's really prevalent on YouTube, that I find many brush up against of whom I sup with. I do find that those I've spoken to have admitted some excitement over some of the spiritual warfare that the ministry teaches but when I've shared what I've seen and know, they come back and admit they did have a little red flag on the discernment ladder.
The ministry is fellowship of the martyrs, headed by doug perry… also known as fotm1 on YouTube.
I will share the 'why'….
In 2010 I was led to watch a video by doug entitled: "DANGER!! To WHOM are YOU married?! Marriage Licenses bond you to the STATE! fotm1"
Below the vid he writes (to give you the jist):
I heard what he had to say and even looked at the annulment document he referenced and you know…. for A MOMENT…. I actually thought "hey maybe I should do this….right on, 'spiritually' is really what marriage is, afterall…."
However, this put up a major red flag in the discernment area because the Holy Spirit said to me, 'what spirit is this of?'---------> FEAR!
So, I quit poking my nose fotm's way and every time people would ask "what do you think about fotm?", I'd share that experience and tell them to pray and ask God. You can only 'go' with what you 'know', a?
After that time... I'd had a dream warning of a ministry affiliate of fotm that had then broke off with doug… and then watched another proclaim that the Holy Spirit is female (really?!)…. and so I can't say anything touching fotm was bearing good fruit either.
In Sept. of 2011 I posted my cult experience testimony...
In Nov. of 2011 I had a dream…
Doug/fotm1 & people that I somehow knew were of his following & then another youtuber was in the dream as well. At first the symbolism seemed like the theme was an exhortation to choose unity among the brethren above all else… so I contacted that youtuber and fotm1 w/ my dream & what I thought it meant…. both said 'okay' to the message & that was that. Well then from that point, the youtuber & I actually became friends… he actually shared that he had friends that live at fotm and had been encouraging him to come live there too! (EDU: fotm runs a food pantry & people that like the ministry all live at an apartment complex that they've kinda taken over). As the dream became clearer... my friend realized that it saved him from going and living there!
Then came further dream understanding *gulp*…. the Lord opened my eyes to the deeper meaning of the symbolism….
There were a lot of yt ministries at a camp type setting coming together...Eating ect.
the key part was that (my husband/ which was really the Lord in the dream)…. HE bought back a white vehicle from doug... HE didn't 'need it', but He bought it back and I was sweeping off all the white bubbled paint from the roof & hood….
Paint: Doctrine, truth or deception.
Sweeping: Cleaning house (own tent, tabernacle that the Holy Spirit lives in); repentance; change; actively taking barriers down; admonishment of sinners.
so… buying it back cuz He doesn't need it…. YiKeS!
In 2012… droves of hurt and wounded people, that have found my cult experience videos, begin to show up for ministry… and they are coming from fotm. There is a common theme & it's what I was shown at the very beginning… 'axing' marriages. Because of the heavy emphasis on 'God' picking who marries who… people freely abandon their so-called 'invalid' marriage certificates for some soul mate that 'God' has for them…. even though people are already in 'marriage'. families with kids split up because 'they heard God', 'they asked Jesus', 'Jesus said…'…. does this scripture ring a bell?:
I don't think it's really safe to ask 'Jesus' if (someone that's legally married) if that could be your soul mate… going beyond common sense…. 2 Cor. 11:4 says it all…. anything/one can 'say' it's Jesus… that's why the Word and common sense go hand in hand with the Holy Spirit.
Puts me to mind of this good 'oldie' (it'll pop-up in another window):

Yes, there are plenty of 'religious spirits' out there that are happy to cater to what the flesh wants…. and I could go on, but I think I've shared enough… by their FRUITS, you shall know them. Unfortunately, some have found fotm to be a pretty painted house, but once inside, have realized it's only cardboard…. and when the rain came, their houses crumbled.
For those that sup within my sphere of influence.. please do listen. I have no agenda or motives…I simply bring forth what HE has shown me and the fruit borne with it. Pay attention, research and most importantly… pray and ask Him. If I don't even ask Him and He shows me simply because helping people out of cults is something He calls me to do…. how much more will He answer those that sincerely want HIS direction, because they want the narrow road? HE will answer. And know if I've stepped on any toes… well, wouldn't you do the same? Real Love steps on toes sometimes…
Thanks for bearing with me on this one… it needed to be shared.
Love you all!

"The government has encroached FAR more than most anyone knows into the areas for which GOD should have authority. We have VOLUNTARILY given them our children and our assets and our fruit! A marriage license is NOT mandatory in order to get married - or even in order for the State to recognize your marriage! But if you DO get one, then you better understand that you are now subject to THEM."

*Reminder…. what does love do? Hopes all things…. doesn't sit around and profess, 'they are out to get us!'… especially if God is the one that places kings over us, right?
