Hello, I am only 16 years old but I feel God wants me to give you some encouragement. We all have strongholds keeping us from God and while I may have not had as much as you do, they were still there and devastated me always wanting to pull me down. Here is how God conquered those strongholds for me. I began going out and spending an hour and then 2 hours for God to just take over me and pull me away from all of these things. As I started praying Satan began attacking me more but I kept going at it then a month or so after lots of heartfelt prayer God answered all of it miraculously. A week before the end of winter break I was at church and then I felt God tell me to stand up and worship him (no one else was standing). Right when I stood up it felt as if an angel was touching my chest and it was extremely hot in that one area but not painful. After I sat down it stopped. Ever since then, while I have made mistakes, the power that these things held over me had disappeared. I felt as if a huge weight was removed from me so just make time for prayer! Even if it means waking up early in the morning, just go and pray. God is there and he is listening. And another thing. When he pulls away from us, it means he wants us to come closer. We have a choice to go back to our unfulfilling life of sin or to enter into the overcoming life that God bestows on us. God Bless!
