Is the holy spirit silent sometimes or should we always feel his presence?

if you mean physical feeling all the time... no. in prayer...i do....and that's part of 'stirring up the gift' --we hafta engage first. even so, outside of warm fuzzies, we can all see Him working thru what the world would deem as 'coincidences'. and those moments are cool cuz it's a reminder He is there & to praise Him & again & again---stir up the gift. for chronic 'dryness'... we need to go thru a checklist of sorts. here is a vid comment & ans. from the other day that is cool i will share in keeping our flame hot:
Q: How do I experience more of God? How do I grow closer to God? I want to know God like never before. I want to be so full of God that His love will be overflowing out of me into others. How can this happen?
A:
"faith comes by hearing & hearing by the Word of God" rom.10:17, so discipline in reading the Word is 1. obedience to the Word (not hearers only) is 2. and that will be reflected in your lifestyle and fruits. the problem areas that don't jive, you need prayer, deliverance, healing, so refining is 3. and baptism in the holy spirit (4) can fit in anywhere in between - i have a nice playlist on my freedoms01 channel: Holy Spirit Baptism and Gift of Tongues ...growth takes engagement Matt5:14-30
