was watching tv with the boys before bedtime a little while ago, and a funny thing happened. somehow the conversation turned into this: me 'we are supposed to follow Jesus and do what He did' my oldest son 'yeah thats right, except for the miracles, we can't do those' me 'why not? Jesus said we can do all the miracles He did and even greater works and than what He did' my oldest son looked at me confused and said 'what about raising people from the dead?' me 'yup sure can, as long as we are following Him and believe that miracles will happen and have faith, then yes you can tell a dead person to get up and they will. just remember its not you doing it but God doing it for you' my oldest son 'oh ok'
ba da bop bop bah im lovin it! Lord let it sink in!

grrr my son told his teacher we can do miracles and she stopped him and told him that only God can do miracles. this kind of stupid crap is why theres no power in the church. way to plant doubt in a child.

There's a possibility that the teacher was just trying to explain that it's God that heals (not the person) – though He may use people to do so. I would think that it may be worth finding out – bringing it up in conversation with her (if that's possible). Some of these situations are just pure misunderstanding. Some people do indeed start to believe that they are the ones doing the healing or that they are unique in some way - while God can use anyone really.
Just my thoughts - I may be wrong.
