The Russians have been carrying out exercises, targeting the Baltic island of Bornholm. This is sovereign Danish territory but always been desired by the old Soviet Empire. No immediate reaction that I know of.
Soviet built Latvian cargo plane approaching Stansted (was the crew Russian?)went off air. Two tornadoes were scrambled and informed it that it was about to be shot down before it decided to go back on air.
I think the Russians are testing resolve. Will they turn to Israel at some stage as so many have prophesied?
